Dancing Mood Academy was created as a gentle space for kids to move, express, and grow without the noise of pressure or perfection.

Our classes stay small on purpose, giving every child room to be seen, supported, and encouraged. We focus on musicality, storytelling, and the tiny in-between moments that shape confidence. Each dancer leaves feeling a little stronger, a little more open, and a lot more themselves.

What makes us different?

Small Classes

Limited class sizes so your child gets true personal attention.

Personal Attention

Teachers who know their students by name, personality, and style — not just number in a lineup.

Creative Freedom

Choreography built around imagination, storytelling, and play, not strict competition rules.

Confidence for Life

The goal is not a trophy shelf… it’s resilience, presence, and a sense of “I can do this.”

Ballerina Ana Laura Sanchez Leyte

Ana Laura Sánchez Leyte is the founder and lead Ballerina at Dancing Mood Academy, a boutique children’s dance program created to give kids a gentle space to move, express, and grow without pressure or perfection. Her background in classical and contemporary dance, Pilates, and Gyrotonic shapes a teaching style that blends technique with creativity, musicality, and storytelling.

Dancing Mood Academy began as a small after-school program and has grown into a multi-teacher movement community serving families across Miami. Ana Laura personally trains and mentors every instructor to maintain the thoughtful, calm, and encouraging teaching style the program is known for. Each class is intentionally designed to meet children where they are and help them leave feeling more confident, more connected, and more themselves.

The academy now offers school-integrated programs through partnerships with KLA Brickell, Kids Hive, and St. Stephen’s. Private group classes are also available in homes, gyms, outdoor spaces, and studios, with a minimum of six children per group. 1-on-1 movement tutoring is available for families who want individualized attention.

Many classes include acrobatic foundations that support strength, coordination, and body awareness. Every semester concludes with a performance that celebrates expression and growth. With two shows each year, children have the opportunity to shine on stage in a supportive and exciting environment that feels meaningful without being competitive.

For the first time, Dancing Mood Academy will introduce a summer camp experience that reflects the same values of creativity, confidence, and joy.

Ana Laura’s vision is simple. Dance should feel safe. Dance should feel inspiring. Dance should feel like a place where children discover who they are. Dancing Mood Academy is her way of giving families a softer, more intentional approach to movement and performance that stays with kids long after class ends.
